Laser Tag
During the mass GATE bonding session, we had a chance to play laser tag with the entire GATE community. However instead of the conventional laser tag played in dark rooms, this version of laser tag was held in School! It was a really unusual and fun experience to be able to run around with laser guns at the SALT Centre and trying to shoot each other.
All of us were split into randomised groups and had to work with one another to eliminate the other teams in multiple missions. As it was near the promotional examinations, this activity came at an opportune time, as many of us needed a break to unwind and de-stress. It turned out to be really, really fun! It also allowed us to see that the GATE elective sessions were not merely focused on academic work, as we do get opportunities to relax and connect with one another as a GATE community.
This was definitely an unforgettable experience, where we got to know other GATE students better, especially those whom we normally do not interact with much. I believe that many of us would like such activities to continue as part of our tradition.
